Muse Community Guidelines
Last Updated: August 20, 2026
Muse is a place to meet people through music, in the app and at live events. These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not okay on Muse. They work together with our Terms of Service: violating these Guidelines is a violation of the Terms, and can lead to content removal, suspension, or a permanent ban. We may update these Guidelines as the community grows.
1. Be Yourself
- Use your real name and your real age. Do not impersonate anyone or create a fake or misleading profile.
- One account per person.
- Your photos must be of you. Do not use photos of other people or photos you do not have the right to share.
2. Adults Only
- Muse is for people 18 and older. No one under 18 may use Muse, on any entry path.
- Never post, share, or request sexual content involving minors. We remove it, ban the account, and report it to the authorities as required by law.
- If you believe someone on Muse is under 18, report them in the App right away.
3. Respect People
- No harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, or intimidation.
- No hate speech or content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other identity.
- No unwanted sexual messages or images. If someone is not interested, let it go.
- A match is not consent to anything. Treat people at least as well as you would face to face.
4. Keep Content Appropriate
- No nudity or sexually explicit content, in photos, captions, bios, prompts, or event walls.
- No graphic violence or content that promotes or glorifies violence or self harm.
- No illegal content or content that promotes illegal activity.
- Event walls are shared spaces visible to everyone at that event. Post photos you would be comfortable with the whole crowd seeing.
5. No Money, No Selling
- Never ask other members for money, financial information, or gifts, and never send money to someone you met on Muse.
- No promotion or solicitation of commercial sexual services of any kind.
- No spam, advertising, promotion of other services, or recruiting for schemes of any kind.
- No scams. Romance scams, investment pitches, and crypto offers get an immediate ban.
6. Play Fair
- No bots, scripts, or automated tools.
- Do not attempt to access other people's accounts or our systems.
- Do not use Muse to collect other people's information or share someone's personal information without their consent.
7. Reporting & Enforcement
You can report any profile, photo, or conversation directly in the App, and block anyone at any time. Reports are private, and the person you report is not told who reported them.
When these Guidelines are violated, we may remove content, issue a warning, suspend the account, or ban the person permanently, depending on severity. Serious violations, such as anything involving minors, threats of violence, or scams, result in an immediate permanent ban. Where the law requires it, we report to the appropriate authorities.
If you believe we got an enforcement decision wrong, contact us at support@museapp.co and we will take a second look.
